Things are changing fast!

In 18 DAYS I will be moving out and leaving home...for possibly the rest of my life. I started packing things up last week and slowly my room is getting boxed up. This is the house I grew up in and the only place I have called home. It's slowly dawning on me that I will have a new home, new set of keys and a new address pretty soon.

In true style we are moving at a ridiculous time. Who ever does move at a good time? I go to Canada next Thursday and arrive back the day before we complete on the house. I also have a Katy Perry concert that day too. So jet lag, a concert and moving into a house is completely bonkers if you ask me! But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Things are moving at a faster pace and the real build up to moving has begun. As scary as it does feel at times there have been some really fun things. Lotte and I have chosen paint colours, you can see some of our colour choices below. My bedroom wall has been our tester area as you can see. I have also been arranging some photos that have just been stuck under my bed. It feels good to collate them and show them off.

We have also chosen some furniture like our sofa, beds and storage equipment. We already have loads of stuff for the house, especially in the corner of my room. However, it feels like it is spilling out all over the place. We have stuff in my car, under Lotte's bed, in my Gran's garage and there's still stuff to buy.

One of things I know I'll struggle to remove is my 'to visit list'. It sounds silly but I have had it in that place since 2007 and never taken it down. All I hope is over the next few weeks we are graced with excellent decorating skills, great support and plenty of sleep in between everything else.

Wish me luck.

Hi Rebecca-Yes the cupcake place I mentioned is in DC. Here is a link to their website. There is usually a long queue as they are very well known. They were on TV for a while on TLC. Not sure if that's still happening, but yummy cupcakes! Enjoy your trip to DC. I love the city-tons to see and do!
