Little bits of life.

I feel like I haven't updated much about life on here at all. In fact I don't feel like I have done a good blog post in a while. So I thought I would do a little update on things that have been happening around my corner of the internet.

I had a lovely Valentines day. We celebrated it the 15th because plonker over here had to do night shifts.  Simon really went to town and cooked me Paprika Chicken, decorated the table, got me beautiful flowers, a lovely card and tickets to see Jersey Boys. I cannot wait! He said my face was priceless. I got him a frame and decorated it with buttons that are his favourite colour and tickets to see star wars 3D at the IMAX in London. Now HIS face was priceless!

In 1 month and 2 days I head off to CALIFORNIA and VEGAS! I am so excited for this trip. It will be 11 days of fun, madness, picture taking and hopefully good weather. Does anyone know what the weather is like in California and Vegas end of March time?! No rain please.

Work is as busy as ever. I have reached a little defunct with it though. I feel like I have outgrown it and want to try something else. Unfortunately I am in contract until December so will have to stick it out until then. I love the surgery side still but I am just getting a little weary of the routine. I'd like to try something new!

Is it mean of me to say I am not surprised Whitney Houston has died? A great voice has left this Earth too soon though.

Simon and I went and saw The Muppets! I LOVED every second of it. I grew up with the Muppets and it totally took me back to my childhood. Some reviews have said the singing is a little fake. Hello they're puppets?!?! They're fake too! (don't tell my 5 year old self that though!). Also, another film that's a must see is War Horse. I saw it last month and it was a beautiful film!

He's clearly found a new girlfriend here....

I have gotten really into cooking. Simon made it a new years resolution to cook something new every week and he has stuck to his guns and done it. However, I help it out a fair bit and I have to say I have really really enjoyed it. You can make so many meals in like 15 minutes?!?! That may be funny to some people but cooking has always seemed like slavery to me haha! I think we need to work on presentation but we have cooked Beef in Black Bean Sauce, Spag Bol, Sweet and Sour Pork, Steak Fajitas and next week I am doing Thai Chicken....way better than eating out!

Beef in Black Bean Sauce & Noodles.

It's baby central again in my world. My sister is due in 8 weeks. 8 WEEKS! It's gone by so fast and her baby shower is in 2 weeks. I can't wait to meet my little niece/nephew. My uni friend Nicki gave birth to little Paige yesterday morning. My college friend Sam is due in July with her first baby and my very close friend Sacha is expecting her second baby due in September!!!

She had little Kaleb last July and they decided they wanted their kids close together in age. I'm so happy for them!!! They had been trying for Kaleb for 2 years and for her to fall pregnant so easily this time is a blessing!!!! I'm rooting for a girl this time haha.

Otherwise that's my round up in Becca world. Have a good weekend everyone and don't forget pancake day is next Tuesday!

Awe congrats to all the new parents and parents to be. I have not seen the Muppet Movie yet. I love that actor whose name I can't remember, maybe we will watch it soon! No idea on Cali or Vegas weather, friends always tell me I wouldn't fit in Cali, so we're plannng a trip to New York this year. Im kinda excited, it's a road trip and im hoping to see Maryland along the way ::fingers crossed::

I cannot believe that your niece or nephew is almost fully cooked! It seems like you only just had your suspicions about your sister being pregnant.

I love cooking, but I also love eating out. As my boyfriend and I both live with our parents finding a free kitchen is sometimes difficult so we eat out way more than we should. I'm glad your embracing the cookery love, we love cooking together.

Do you have any idea which nursing area you'd like to move into?

I wouldn't worry about California weather! It rarely rains out there any time of the year. I'm pretty sure at least. Be sure to wave when you fly across the flat middle part of the country! :)

I can't believe your sister is already almost due! That's insane. And yay for cooking!

You are talking to the right girl about Cali and Vegas Weather...
I Live by the beach in Southern California AND I just so happen to be going to Vegas the first weekend of March! :)

Right now it's a bit chilly here in Cali, but today the sun is out, no clouds, and it's warming up. By the end of March you should see LOTS of SUN and spring time here in Cali. It should be warm but it never hurts to bring a light jacket. In Vegas, it should be warm as well, but at night it tends to get a little chilly. I go the first weekend of March so if you would like me to report back to you about the weather there before you go..Let me know. :)

Sounds like you are pretty busy, but the fun kind of busy! Be to sure to pick yourself up some Project Life goodies in America! My hubby is going there midyear and that was my first thought..ha! Congrats to you friend Sacha. Do you cook with a gas cook top? I find that is SOO much quicker.
