Weekend Away

I have just returned from an awesome weekend away up north to see Sacha, Kevin and baby Kaleb. It is incredible how Kaleb has gone from teeny tiny at 12 days.

To this at 11 weeks.

He is an absolute joy! He loves to smile and sit in his bouncer. He is interested in everything and anything. He can be transfixed on one thing for so long. Motherhood suits Sacha so well and has taken to it like a duck to water. I still find it weird that one of my closest friends is a mummy! When we arrived on Saturday we had lots of cuddles and then took Sacha out for her first time away from Kaleb. We had a really nice meal and then went out for some drinks. We were out for about 6 hours but that's the longest she's been away from him. When we returned she said she missed him but felt so much better for going out!

In fact when we got back to our hotel room she text me saying "Had such a nice evening out with you guys. Thanks so much for coming to visit us. It was much needed!" It meant the world to me that we made her weekend.

Then on Sunday we could not resist going for more cuddles and watching the Irish rugby world cup match. Here Kaleb is in his St. Paddy's gear.

Doesn't he have the most beautiful blue eyes?

Sacha and Kevin are both South African but Sacha grew up in Ireland. So Kaleb has to support both countries haha. I miss them already!
