About Me

Hi and welcome to my little piece of the internet!

I'm Rebecca and I am a nurse who likes to blog. I love to talk and speak my mind on anything to everything. It can be from serious topics, how my life is steaming ahead at a 1000km, finding out what your opinions are or just what mascara you are wearing lately - seriously.

I celebrate my favourite day of the year on February 8th and I have spent the past 24 years of my life in Woking, Surrey. I love being British and the UK will always be the place I call home.

I am a fully qualified nurse and have been since August 2010. I specialise in pre and post operative surgery which is my passion. I love my job and I feel very privileged to work with such a fantastic team and unit. Eventually I want to go into health visiting and family planning.

I have a wonderful (if chaotic!) family where my Mum is my favourite person. She has taught me that 'all you can do in life is your best and your best will always be good enough.' I live by that encouragement daily! I am one of 4 kids, so feel quite lucky to have 3 siblings whom I could kill some days but would kill to have them in my life always. I became an Auntie in April 2012 to my beautiful nephew Cohen. As cliché as it sounds I have some of the best friends a girl could ask for. I would be lost without them all.

I smile, a lot. I can be clumsy and have quite a few of those said 'blonde' moments. I am crazy for all things yellow and polka dot. I am not religious in anyway - think of me as agnostic. I enjoy delicious food. I love to plan, whether it's a random trip to fun nights out. I want to go on holiday more (who doesn't?!) I have an urge to explore parts of the world I have only ever dreamt of going to. I want to make those places a reality. So I have a 'to visit list' which I aim to see most of. I also have a bucket list - you have to make life happen people, not let it fade past.

So yeah that's me in a nutshell. Questions? Contact me =)
